Traditional TV ads are viewed by everyone based on an assumption of interests. CTV ads are shown exclusively to your target audience and the costs are in-line with other digital advertising tactics such a retargeting or custom audiences.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind as you are thinking about CTV ads for your association:
- Research your audience
- Don’t be boring – grab your audience’s attention within 5-6 seconds
- Make your ads interactive (QR Codes/Purls)
- Have a 15 second ad and a 30 second ad
- Ads do not need to be high end commercials, but they should have good video and audio quality
- Use trusted / well known platforms
- Include a strong call to action
- Pay attention to your metrics – analyze and optimize
